Today is the day you must mail your 2011 tax return into the government or face penalties and interest rates that are so high, even the Mafia would be ashamed to charge! If you owe taxes, it’s better to send in your return even if you don’t have enough money to pay. The IRS wants the form on file and postmarked with today’s date. If you don’t send in your form, make sure you file for a legal extension …. Many restaurants across the country are giving deals today and here are a few: At McDonalds you buy one Big Mac or Quarter Pounder and get the second sandwich for one penny, Arby’s is offering free curly fries at participating stores but you have to go online to print out a coupon, Boston Market has a buy one meal and get one free (also with a coupon), Cinnabon Stores are giving away two free “bites” from 6pm till 8pm today, PF Changs has a 15% off deal today, Panda Express has a free single serving of “Shanghai Steak” with their Facebook coupon and Sonic Restaurants have half-price drinks and slushies all day today! I guess that helps make 4/17/12 a little bit better! …. Doctors hope they have found a new drug in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease. A protein called “Beta Amyloid” is injected into the brain and then PET and MRI scans are used to measure plaque buildup. So far, the drug (named Amyvid) has worked in over 74% of test subjects …. Ford will become the first car manufacturer in NASCAR history to supply an all-electric car as a race pace car. Look for the new Ford Focus to lead the field at the April 28 Sprint Cup Series race in Richmond, VA ….
