Miss USA Olivia Culpo
All 51 contestants were beautiful but after the votes were counted, Miss Rhode Island Olivia Culpo was named Miss USA 2012. The Boston University sophomore will take a year away from her studies to represent the United States as Miss USA. Culpo is of Italian heritage, plays the cello and calls herself a “nerd”. The judges posed her a difficult question that dealt with transgender contestants but her answer had the crowd applauding ….
