It’s classic Monday and that means it’s time to go back into the porn vault and bring out another debut film by a star from the golden age of porn. This week it is the effervescent, sexy Desiree Costeau and her debut film from 1977 “(Hot and Saucy) Pizza Girls”.
Desiree was a true southern belle, born and raised in Savannah, Georgia and came from a strict Baptist family. While she was in college she began to do some nude modeling to earn extra money. Then her and her boyfriend, later her husband, headed for California and she was hoping to become an actress. She did a couple of “B” movies like “Caged Heat” and “Super Lady”but mainstream wasn’t in the cards. So she began dancing at some top clubs and then was offered to do some porn. She made her debut in the classic “Hot and Saucy Pizza Girls” for director Bob Chinn and got the chance to work with John Holmes. It was this film that would lead to even bigger and better things like her award winning performance for Alex De Renzy in “Pretty Peaches”. There was also “Baby Face”, “Daddy’s Little Girl” and other great films among the 100 she did. Desiree left the business in the early 80′s and never returned, but her list of great films is still available today to be enjoyed by both old and new fans alike.
Hot and Saucy Pizza Girls – 1977 - This film is a little known classic to most, but it is a fun film highlighted by the debut of Desiree Costeau. The basic premis is that John Holmes is an a-hole pizza shop owner and has his girls skate all over town delivering pizzas, along with other treats. However there is another group in town who have a friend chicken business and want to run the pizza business out of town. So the San Francisco Night Chicken is employed. Meantime a bumbling detective is trying to get the goods on both. While the film is only an hour and twenty minutes long, there are 6 hot and heavy sex scenes in the film and it is easy to see why Desiree became such an instant star in the golden age. Also appearing in this film as one of the hot pizza girls is Candida Royalle. If you can find this classic on DVD, be sure to get it and enjoy the fun and the steamy sex of “Pizza Girls” and the award winning and AVN Hall of Famer Desiree Costeau.
