Tommy Pistol, one of adult’s top actors is now getting in the director’s chair for a new series with Smash Pictures. Pistol, whose acting chops are so good that he has taken on roles as diverse as Travis Bickle in the XXX parody of “Taxi Driver” to the wild, off the wall character of Pee Wee Herman in “Pee Wee’s XXX Adventure”, not an easy task for any actor. Now Pistol is combining his love of adult and horror together with a film series to be called “Too Hard To Die” and he is bringing Bonnie Rotten on as his lead character. With zombies, sex, and plenty of scary action this could be a major breakthrough project for 2013. Bonnie is the perfect choice and it will be one more step upward in her rapid rise to stardom. Considering the classic nature of this film, the songs, the music, the sets and the characters, we certainly can understand that. In addition the film will be shot in 3-D.  However, if anyone can pull of a project of this scope Ryder certainly can. While the casting of the lead roles has been kept secret, especially that of the lead role of Dorothy, I do know that the Cowardly Lion role will be essayed by one of adult’s top character actors, James Bartholet. As for the other roles, in time they will be announced, but from what I have been told by Ryder himself, the lead role of Dorothy and who is playing it will blow everyone away and that the girl has some serious singing chops!  According to Ryder the musical numbers and songs have been worked on and recorded over the past few months. So keep an eye out for any further news on this upcoming project that you will find on AAN. I just wish Will would have let me have the Uncle Henry role, God knows I am old enough!!! We wish Will and the cast the very best putting this all together and eagerly await it’s release later in 2013.

In closing, I want to extend my prayers, good wishes and good thoughts to Ron Jeremy as he recovers in the hospital from his heart surgeries. We came very close to losing not only an icon and legend in the industry, but a very good friend to all of us here at NightMoves and AAN. This past Saturday, the Hard Rock Hotel-Casino was really rocking as a jam packed crowd was on hand for the 30^th Annual AVN Adult Awards show. It was the final event of this year’s AEE (Adult Entertainment Expo) and the awards show was the perfect icing on the cake as more than 130 awards were presented, in addition to some live entertainment provided by the amazing Cirque du Soleil and their performance. Also on the bill was comedienne April Macie and the show hosted by adult superstars Asa Akira and Jesse Jane.

However I do want to send out special congrats to a few folks that have become good, dear friends to myself, Paul and Tracy and become a part of our “family” here at NightMoves and AAN. First to Axel Braun, for his well deserved wins for the Parody “Star WarXX’, Director of “Star Wars XX” and Director of the Year for his entire body of work. Axel has won a number of awards from the various award factions including a number of awards from us here at NightMoves over the past couple of years. In a year where the competition was very tough with all the great directors in adult, Axel stood out with another solid year. We are sure that there are more to come before 2013 is over.

I would also like to send out big congratulations to Marcus London and the entire cast for their win as Best Parody Drama with “Spartacus MMXII: The Beginning”. We are very proud of the fact that this fantastic film received it’s very first award from NightMoves in October 2011 as a First Choice award winner. It took a while for this film to get off the ground, but the wait has been rewarded and again, I am sure there are more awards to come.

To James Bartholet, again with some very tough competition in the Non Sex category, his performance as Curly in “Not The Three Stooges XXX” was recognized as the best. He has also been the recipient of several NightMoves awards as well. In the years we have known James and the movies we have had the pleasure to review, there isn’t a character role he cannot handle.
