British magazine FHM named Mila Kunis the “Sexiest Woman in the World” ahead of Rihanna, Helen Flanagan, Kaley Cuoco, Kate Upton and others. It’s comical that Gwyneth Paltrow (who was named the “Most Beautiful Woman in 2013 by People Magazine) was nowhere in FHM’s Top 100 list. Kunis (who was #14 last year) bolted to the top after her roles in the movie “Ted” and “Oz: The Great & Powerful“. She’s come a long way from “That 70′s Show” !!

Here is some good news … unemployment fell to 7.5% after 165,000 jobs were added across the USA in April. The figure is a four-year low. With the news, stock futures rose as did the Dow Jones Industrial futures.

Crazy weather has dominated the Midwest the past few days and will continue throughout the weekend. Over 13 inches of snow fell in parts of Minnesota and that’s strange for the month of May!  The Tampa Bay Rays -v- Kansas City Royals MLB baseball game was canceled and more bad weather is predicted today!

The last pieces of a silver spire was hoisted to the top of the new World Trade Center yesterday in New York City. With the spire, the trade center will stand 1,776-feet tall! The workers all stood at attention and applauded when the piece was installed.

Last but not least … The average rate for a 15-year mortgage last week was 2.56%! Freddie Mac reported it was the lowest rate since 1991 … Tomorrow is May 4 and is known as Star Wars Day after the famous movie quote, “May the Fourth Be With You” … The Kentucky Derby will be run Saturday and Orb is the favorite … Singer Frankie Valle turns 79 today, country star Randy Travis turns 54 tomorrow and pop star Adele turns 25 Sunday … Have a safe and wonderful weekend!

May Day … May Day … Welcome to the month of May. Today is the first day of “National Masturbation Month“.  I’m not kidding, it really is National Masturbation Month! The city of Philadelphia will host a “masturbate-a-thon” that will take place today through May 27. Sponsors can donate money with profits going to local sex education groups. I don’t know about you, but I’m predicting there will be a lot of people participating in Philly and in numerous cities around the country!

Gloria Chubb was microwaving a can of green beans when she found a dead frog inside! At first she thought it was a piece of bacon, but was shocked when she took another look. She returned the can (and the frog) to the Meijer Store she purchased it from and they gave her a full refund. She also received an apology note and $50 from the canning company. Yummy … nothing better than frog and beans!

Nakio is a mixed breed puppy who was abandoned when he was eight weeks old. He was found in bad shape by veterinary assistant Christie Pace who fell in love with the puppy.  Pace made veterinarian history by fitting Nakio with four prosthetic paws. Today, the dog is healthy and can actually run and play with the four artifical paws.

The Toledo Mud Hens will become the Toledo Wookies this weekend. The minor league baseball team will celebrate the movie “Star Wars” as they wear Chewbacca-themed uniforms for Saturday and Sunday games. The team will also sell Yoda Soda and give away 3,000 kazoos to perform a Star Wars-themed post-game concert. You ask why? Well Saturday’s date is May 4 … and as Hans Solo would say, “May the 4th be with you” !!!

Last but not least … Legal online poker started yesterday via a Nevada company who could bring the country to regulate online poker games. Currently it is illegal to play poker online with an off-shore company … the NBA Playoffs resumed last night with Memphis and Denver winning their games … Singer Judy Collins turns 74 today and country star Tim McGraw celebrates his 46th birthday! … Have a great Wednesday everybody!

Star Wars Day!

Today is a day that is celebrated from Tattooine to Alderaan … It is a day to party like a Wookiee and dance like Jar Jar Binks! You can see Jedi Knights, Sith Lords, Ewoks and Jabba The Hutt dancing in the streets … Yes today is STAR WARS DAY! Everywhere in the Galatic Empire you can see light sabers held high and Yoda singing praises!

Star Wars was released on May 25, 1977 and changed the way movies were made. George Lucas had his first draft rejected by multiple people but he believed in the project and continued to re-write, change, alter and improve the storyline. He finally was accepted by 20th Century Fox and today Star Wars is the third highest grossing movie-sequel in history with over $4.49-billion in box office sales trailing only the James Bond and Harry Potter series.

Yes Star Wars Days is a day to celebrate and get “Geeky” !!! After all it is the only day of the year when you can say …. MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU !!!!!!!
